QVHS Hockey Coach and Player Win National Championship

Congratulations to QVHS Hockey coach and Edgeworth Elementary School Physical Education teacher, Mr. Kevin Quinn and QV Hockey player Connor Quinn, on winning the USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championship! Kevin Quinn is the coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 18U team, which recently won the National Championship in San Jose, California. After losing the first game to Chicago, Mr. Quinn's team ran the table defeating San Jose and then number one ranked Shattuck St. Marys. The Pens Elite team beat Cape Cod- the Massachusetts representative- in the quarterfinals and North Jersey in the semifinals. They then went on to win the first National Championship in Pittsburgh Hockey history over third-ranked Culver Academy. The Penguins Elite team includes QV's Connor Quinn who had the game-winning goal in the quarterfinal game vs Cape Cod and the Championship game against Culver. Congratulations to Coach Kevin and Connor Quinn!
